Virtual Appointments

If you have underlying health conditions or would feel happier having a virtual appointment before visiting the boutique, we are happy to accomodate. During our virtual consultation we can discuss the styles you have in mind, the style of wedding you have in mind, including venue, colour theme etc. We can show you dresses we think you might like and put them on a shop mannequin for you. After the consultation we can send you images/videos of any you would like to see in more detail. When you feel ready for an appointment at the boutique just let us know and we can have you chosen dresses ready for you to try. 

Bridesmaid Appointments

Bridesmaids

Unfortunately, at the moment bridesmaid appointments won’t be as we would like them to be. Until the guidelines change, we will only be able to have the bride and 2 bridesmaids at a time in the shop. If you have more than 2 bridesmaids you might have to be a little bit inventive to involve everyone on the appointment!
Maybe the bridesmaids who aren’t in the shop can watch on video chat from the car they came in, that way they can all be involved in the appointment.

Alternatively, 2 bridesmaids could attend the appointment with the bride and the other bridesmaids are invited to a virtual appointment from their home. If there is a style everyone agrees they like, the other bridesmaids can individually arrange an appointment to try on at the shop.

Deliveries

We are in constant contact with our suppliers who are keeping us up to date on any changes regarding ordering and the delivery of dresses which have already been ordered.

New dresses already ordered

Deliveries of dresses already ordered are still on track to be delivered on the scheduled due date. If there is to be any change to this we will notify you.
We understand that many of our brides will either have to postpone their wedding or sadly cancel. If your wedding has been cancelled, unfortunately there is nothing we can do as the order has been placed and in production and therefore the balance payment will still be due when the dress arrives in-store.
Please contact us if you will have difficulty paying the final balance on your dress due to changes in your employment due to the current situation.

If your wedding has been postponed we are happy to store your dress until required.

Wedding Insurance

For those brides who bought a new wedding gown at Love Lace, you will have received in your goodie bag a leaflet from the BBSA (British Bridal Suppliers Association) This offers free insurance for your wedding dress up to £1000. If you signed up for this insurance when you bought your gown, it might be worth getting in touch to discuss any change in circumstances regarding your wedding.

Dress Alterations

If you are booked in with our recommended seamstress for your dress alterations, she may well have been in touch with you. Corinne is still honouring appointments but will only accept the bride attending the appointment and asks the bride to cancel if showing any of the highlighted symptoms.

Preloved Agency Dresses

If you have purchased you dress from our Preloved Agency and your wedding cancelled, unfortunately we are unable to offer you assistance as we sold these dresses on behalf of someone else and the sellers have been paid.

If your wedding has been postponed we are happy to store your dress until required.  

Selling through our Preloved Agency

At present we are unable to accept any new dresses for sale through our preloved dress agency but there is still the option of selling through our online marketplace. Please contact us if you are interested in selling on the marketplace

Key Worker Discount

We currently offer a 10% discount to NHS workers who have a NHS Staff Discount Card.
We are now opening this up to all NHS staff and all those on the government key worker list.
Proof of employment will be required.
