Your Appointment

So what can you expect at your appointment…..

Inside Love Lace Bridal Boutique

On arrival…..

We understand that shopping for your wedding gown can be a daunting experience for some.

At Love Lace we offer a warm , friendly environment, with no pressure, where you can enjoy your wedding shopping experience.

On your arrival we will guide you through the styles and designers and leave you to browse…..while we make you a cuppa!

When choosing the gowns you would like to try, we would recommend initially selecting 3-4 gowns plus a wildcard!

Do I need to book an appointment

To guarantee trying on our wedding gowns, we would recommend making an appointment, especially on a Saturday.

You are welcome to pop in at anytime to browse and if we don’t have an appointment booked, we will be happy to help you try a few gowns.

Can I bring family and friends?

It’s always lovely to make a special occasion of shopping for your wedding gown. We can comfortably seat 2-3 people.

What dress sizes do you hold?

Our designer sample gowns are available to try in sizes 10-18.

Through our Preloved Bridal Agency, we have off the peg gowns available in sizes 4-22

What happens if I find my dream dress?

Once you have found your dream dress, we will take your measurements and discuss with you the size of dress we will order for you. We take a 50% deposit to order your dress, which will arrived in 6-8 months.

When your dress arrives we will contact you for your first fitting. At this time the balance payment will due.

For any alterations required, we will give you the contact details of our recommended seamstress, who has over 20 years experience as a bridal seamstress.

Off the peg dresses……

These dresses can be paid for in full and taken home with you the same day.

Alternatively, you can pay a 30% deposit with the option to pay the balance within 4 weeks or on dresses over £500 you have the option of our payment plan, where you can pay the balance over 4 months

Will I need alterations to my dress?

All wedding dresses are made to a standard length, so you can expect to need the length altering if nothing else.

Wedding gowns are not made to measure and are ordered to the nearest size from your measurements, so generally a few tweaks are required to make your dress fit perfectly.

Seamstress appointment

Your seamstress appointment is recommended 8 weeks before the date of your wedding.

For your first fitting you will need the underwear you will be wearing on the big day and your wedding shoes.

The seamstress will discuss with you what alterations are required.

Generally you will only need a maximum of 3 fittings with the seamstress before your dress is ready for the big day!
